Contemporary (Ages 6–17)
Contemporary dance offers young people the chance to explore movement in a completely different way. Combining fluid motion with emotional expression, this style gives dancers the freedom to tell stories through movement while improving balance, strength, and coordination.
Classes focus on developing technique, musicality, and performance skills, while encouraging creativity and individuality. Whether a dancer is new to the style or looking to expand their training, Contemporary provides a space to grow artistically and technically—and discover just how expressive dance can be.
Alongside weekly classes, we also run Project Contemporary courses. These are 7–10 week programmes with weekly one-hour rehearsals, working towards either a competition or a performance. It’s an exciting opportunity for dancers to push their skills further and experience the buzz of working towards a shared goal. Get in touch for details of the next course start dates.
